What is marriage mentoring?
It’s a process where healthy couples come alongside engaged couples, troubled couples, or couples wanting to enhance their marriages.
Who is a marriage mentor couple?
A mentor couple is a healthy, happy, couple intentionally investing in another couple to provide hope, encouragement, and direction for marriage. Mentors are trained to effectively facilitate healthy communication and conflict resolution skills necessary to build and sustain strong marriages.
Who are the mentoree couples?
Mentoree couples are either engaged couples, couples who need to enhance their marriages, or couples in need of restoration.
How does mentoring work?
A mentoree couple will complete a marriage inventory that profiles issues unique to their marriage. The mentoree couple will meet with a mentor couple a total of four to eight sessions for approximately 60 minutes each session.
How much does it cost?
Because of generous donors, churches, and volunteers, marriage mentoring can often be provided at no cost.
How do I get started with mentoring?
Contact your church or organization if they have an existing mentoring program. If not, contact the Marriage Matters office at 877-866-4372 or fill out an online mentoring request form.
Does Marriage Matters offer any other services besides mentoring?
Yes. We offer mentor couple training and marriage enrichment events.
